EE: Why did you choose to play tennis? 

Rachel Stricek: I wanted to try a new sport my freshman year.

EE: What was your favorite part about playing? 

RS: Playing with my friends and going to away matches.

EE: What was your favorite memory from tennis?

RS: Making it to the district doubles championship my junior year.

EE: What was your favorite team to play and why?

RS: Altoona and Hollidaysburg because they are more challenging.

EE: What school had the best courts to play on? 

RS: Altoona.

EE: What do you plan to do after graduation?

RS: I am going to attend Penn state Altoona.

EE: Do you think you will continue to play tennis? 

RS: Yes, I plan on playing for Penn State Altoona’s team. 

EE: How had playing tennis impacted your life? 

RS: I never expected to love the sport as much as I do when first started playing. 

EE: What would you say to people who want to play tennis? 

RS: Definitely go for it because it is such a fun and competitive sport and it’s one you can play for the rest of your life.

EE: What advice would you give to younger players?

RS: Never give up even on your bad days because they don’t define you as a tennis player.
