Lady Eagles remain undefeated after a 46-37 win over Juniata Valley

Engle and Christine combine for 28 points in their 10th straight win of the season.

The Lady Eagles kept it rolling, improving to 10-0 after taking care of business last night at Juniata Valley.

However, the win did not come easy for  the Lady Eagles, but they proved a lot of determination and fight.

We came out kind of flat, but played really hard in the second half and stayed calm when things didn’t go our way

— Kasey Engle

Going into halftime Tyrone was trailing 25-24 after a Juniata Valley 3-point shot at the buzzer.

“After they hit that three, we didn’t fold or panic and the girls didn’t let it affect their game,” said Coach Luke Rhoades.

At halftime Coach Rhoades told his team that defense and rebounding in the second half was going to win the game. And the girls did just that.

Lehman, Cannistraci, and even Christine had some huge rebounds in the second half. They executed their game plan and held Juniata Valley’s guards to only 17 points combined.

Tyrone didn’t change their game, and remained focused throughout to seal the win in the fourth quarter.

“We came out kind of flat, but played really hard in the second half and stayed calm when things didn’t go our way,” said Engle.

As expected, Kasey Engle led both teams with a game high 18 points, while Finnley Christine added ten. Lehman, Cannistraci, and Sprankle all combined for 15 points.

The Lady Eagles are back in action Friday night at Bald Eagle Area. Despite Bald Eagle’s 0-8 record, the Lady Eagles don’t plan on taking them lightly. Their goal is to work hard at the little things and get better every single night to become the best team they can be.  Tip off is at 7:30.
