The Tyrone Lady Eagles came out strong this past Saturday against the Juniata Valley Hornets, ending in a 46-26 win.

Senior Jaida Parker finished with 15 points, while senior Stephanie Ramsey added 10 to lead the Lady Eagles.

In the first quarter, the girls’ ball movement allowed them to get any look they desired. In addition, due to many fouls by Juniata Valley, the Eagles were able to get to the line and knock down their free throws.

The Lady Eagles took a 33-7 lead into halftime.

Throughout the second half, the Lady Eagles were able to get their youth some experience, which is beneficial since Tyrone does not have a JV team this year.

Sophomore Bree Paul drained two threes, giving her 6 points for the game, and freshman Lenelle Eades scored her first varsity points on a drop-step layup.

The Lady Eagles are back in action at Bald Eagle on Tuesday.
