This coming September 22, 2014 the thrilling new series, Gotham, will give Batman, DC, and overall comic loving fans, a new look in the Batman mythology. This series picks up where every Batman movie, comic book, and series left off, the aftermath of the murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents. The season starts with the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne and Det. Jim Gordon is assigned to investigate the crime. Driven to bring justice to Gotham, Gordon promises Bruce that there will be light; that the murderer will be brought to justice.

This series also sheds light on the origin stories of Catwoman, the Riddler, the Penguin, Poison Ivy, and quite possibly, the Joker. As an added bonus Harvey Bullock, a Batman character seen only in comics, will be portrayed in live action for the first time. We will also see a brand new character, created just for this series, by the name of Fish Mooney, portrayed by Jada Pinkett- Smith, mother of Jaden and Willow Smith, as an up in coming crime boss. These characters are shown when they are still green, or starting out. The character of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are portrayed by 14 year olds David Mazouz and Camren Bicondova, children who are destined to become the brooding Batman, billionaire orphan, and the feline fatale, Catwoman. Robin Lord Taylor plays Oswald Cobblepot, a young adult working for Fish, no pun intended. The roles Edward Nigma and Pamela Isely play in Gotham’s power struggle are unknown. The main character is still a mystery, but the only way to find out? Watch Gotham, Monday September 22 on FOX.
