DelGrosso’s Amusement Park to Hire 500 Employees for 2016 Season
DelGrosso’s is looking to expand their seasonal workforce by approximately 60% this summer.
DelGrosso’s Amusement Park and Laguna Splash Waterpark are now accepting applications for all positions for the 2016 summer season including many new jobs added as part of the water park expansion.
Park officials will host an “Interview and Informational Session” on Saturday, March 12th from 10 am – 2 pm at the Bellwood High School gymnasium. Potential employees will have the chance to find out more about the park and the summer job options available.

“These interview and information sessions allow potential employees to find out more about the park, and ask questions in a fun atmosphere. We will walk applicants through the steps for the interview process and answer any questions they have,” said Park President Carl Crider, Jr.
The park previously employed close to 500 seasonal team members each summer, and the management team will need to hire approximately 300 additional employees for the upcoming season. They are looking to gain an additional 150 applicants this year to help fill their expanded water park workforce.
“People should work at DelGrosso’s because of the fun and friendly atmosphere we provide. We understand that employees work to earn money, but we see the job as more than that. It’s a great opportunity to gain interpersonal skills, build a resume, and create experiences that can be used professionally later in life. It’s also a place where employees are rewarded for their hard work,” said Christina Brisbin, Assistant Director of Aquatics.
DelGrosso’s provides many incentive programs including free admission into most Pennsylvania Amusement Parks, employee parties, and more.
“I’d say my favorite memory occurred at the final employee party of the summer. We had a DJ put the Wii game, “Just Dance” up on the big screen, and nearly every single employee was out on the dance floor following the moves! It didn’t matter who you were friends with or what department you were in… it was row after row of people bonding and dancing together. As fun as it was, I think it was just as cool to take a step back and see the kind of friendships created by working at DelGrosso’s” said Brisbin.

“We are still hiring for all positions. Lifeguard courses are filling fast. It is recommended that applicants submit an application as soon as possible. A huge bonus is that our company pays for the lifeguard certification,” said Director of Aquatics Justin Brown.

Many returning and new employees from Tyrone Area High School are already looking forward to the 2016 season.
“I’m so excited for this season and I really can’t wait for this summer,” said junior Riean Minnich who will be a lifeguard for a second year this season.
“I’m looking forward to lifeguard training. It will be something new, and it will provide new experiences for me,” said senior Anthony Politza.
