Boys track improves to 8-0-1 on senior night

The Tyrone boys track team improved its undefeated record to 8-0-1 with a 105-45 win against Huntingdon.

The Goldrn Eagles were paced by Nick Getz, who took first in the 100, 200, and 400R, while state-champion Frederick from Huntingdon won the high, triple, and long jumps.

Against Bellefonte, the Tyrone boys won 97-53 with Duane Boone winning the 110H, the 400, and the 1600R and Dabriero from Bellefonte notching firsts in the 3200R, 1600, and 3200.

The Tyrone girls lost to Huntingdon 99-51 and to Bellefonte 124-26, with stand-out performances from Huntingdon’s Flemming in the 100, 400, 200, and long jump.

Boys Track:

The 4×8 (3200m) relay team of Makdad, Isenberg, Stroud and Plummer took first with 9:31.

Duane Boone and Michael Lewis took 2nd and 3rd in the 100/110 hurdles with times of 18.06 and 18.39.

Nick Getz, Parker Mitchell and Will Lash swept the 100 meter placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Joe Kohler and Adam Zook took 1st and 2nd in the 3200 run and the 1600 meter run.

Boone, Makdad and Grayon Putt dominated in the 400 meter placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

The 4×100 relay team (Bakhsheshe, Harper, Mitchell, Getz) took first with 44.32.

Lash and Daniel Lay placed 2nd and 3rd in the 300 hurdles with 44.33 and 45.33.

Stroud took 2nd in the 800 run with 2:12.83.

Getz, Bakhsheshe and Harper placed in the top three in the 200 meter with 23.06, 23.41, and 23.70.

The 4×400 meter realy team (Harper, Putt, Boone, Makdad) took first with 3:51.38.

Boys Field: 

Raftery and Loose took 1st and 2nd in the pole vault clearing 9′ and 8’6″.

Raftery and Jake Meridith took 2nd and 3rd in the high jump with a tie of 5’6″.

Mitchell and Getz placed 2nd and 3rd in the long jump with19’1″ and 18’6.5″

Nathan Miller and Nick Bonsell with throws of 40’6.5″ and 39’11” placed 2nd and 3rd in the shot put.

In the discus, McNelis and Bonsell took 2nd and 3rd with 103’3″ and 101’10.5″.

Garrett Hunter, Jeff McNelis and Mark Lewis placed in the top three in the javelin with throws of 153′, 131’11”, and 121’10”.

Girls Track:

Emily Beam took 3rd in the 800 run with 2:50.

Makenzie Stauffer took 1st in the 100 hurdles with 18.02 and 3rd in the 300 hurdles with 55.08.

Girls Field:

Voyzey took first in the high jump clearing 5-6.

In discus Hope Wilson took third with a throw of 76-4.

Amber Chamberlin took 2nd in javelin with a throw of 79-1.
