Ask the Coach with Head Coach Jason Wilson: Week 2

Each week of the season the Eagle Eye will interview Coach Wilson about the state of the Eagles

Ask the Coach with Head Coach Jason Wilson: Week 2

Eagle Eye: After the first couple of drives, your team really dominated Bellwood.  Did you expect the game to go as well as it did?

Coach Wilson: I thought the potential was there.  I just wasn’t sure if we would play that well this early in the year.

Eagle Eye: Clearly Central is one of the favorites to win the district this year.  What do you think your team will have to do to win this week?

Coach Wilson: We must eliminate their big plays by containing their top athletes.  And we have to control and move the ball on offense.

Eagle Eye: Is the team where you think it should be at this point in the season?

Coach Wilson: Yes, I do feel that we are where we need to be.  We just need to continue to get better each week and we will be ready for the playoffs.

Eagle Eye: How do you feel the senior leadership has developed and impacted the team this year?

Coach Wilson: It took them a bit but the seniors are doing a good job of the team on task and focused on what they need to do.

Eagle Eye: What would you like to see your team do better?

There are always things we need to work on, always ways to improve to reach our maximum potential.  We just need to play hard, be aggressive and never give up.
