If you’re looking for a game that will test your patience and your anger, this is the app for you.

Crossy Road is based on the 80’s game Frogger.  The game offers 50 unlockable characters to play. Using any of the characters, you have to lead your character through busy highways, avoid speeding trains and jumping through streams.

Playing the game is simple, you tap to move forward and you swipe your fingers to the left, right or backwards to move in those directions.

Each step you take is worth a point, to get a high score you have to get as far as you can without dying.

Each character comes with its own special noise. When the characters get hit by oncoming traffic or oncoming trains they make a pancake looking figure.

With the 50 unlockable characters, they all come with unique traits and add-ons. To get these characters you have to have up to 100 coins to take a chance to unlock a character.

You can also unlock some of the characters by getting a ‘gift’ after waiting so many hours. The gift contains a random amount of coins that will give you a chance to get another character.

Some characters have specific changes to the level when played. The celebrity character comes with paparazzi, they take pictures as she hops by.

Some of the characters also leave a trail, take Speedy Snail as an example.

A famous meme, ‘Doge’, also makes an appearance as one of the special characters. The character comes with the dogs known catch phrases, be careful because they will fill up the screen.

While playing, be careful to not idle away from the game. If you take to long to move, a vicious hawk comes down and swoops the character up which ends the game.

This game contains a unique trait that really catches peoples eyes, who wouldn’t want to see a mad bull or a vampire being taken away by a hawk?

Crossy Road is available free on the Play Store and the App Store.
