Voting for the 2014 Eagle Eye News Short Story Contest PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD is now open.

Thirty students from grades 9 – 12 entered the first annual Eagle Eye News Short Story Contest.

Their stories are posted in the Eagle Eye under the 2014 Short Story Contest Tab.

First and second prize will be awarded by a panel of student and faculty judges.  A list of the judges and rules can be seen by clicking here.  The judging criteria can be seen by clicking here.

The PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD winner will receive $10, the equivalent of third place.

This prize will be awarded to the story with the most reader votes on our Eagle Eye poll.

If you would like to help to determine the PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD,  read the stories that were submitted by clicking on the 2014 Short Story Contest tab on the home page or just click here.

Then vote for UP TO FIVE of your favorite stories.   The ballot appears on right side of this page and on every story page.

Voting will be open until April 4, 2014.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 9.

Good luck to all of our student writers!
