The school year is coming to a close and the Tyrone Music Department ended their performances for the 2015-2016 school year.

The Tyrone Golden Eagle Marching Band and Indoor Percussion and Indoor Guard all had successful competition seasons this school year.

The marching band had a great 2015-2016 competition season with performances at Somerset, St. Mary’s, Central Dauphin, Tyrone, Juniata Valley, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Camp Hill.

The Tyrone Golden Eagle Marching Band placed 10th out of 17 bands at the 2015-2016 Atlantic Coast Championships at Camp Hill High School in Harrisburg.

The indoor percussion and the indoor guard competed at Tyrone,Windber, Glendale, Westmont Hilltop, Johnstown, and the Chapter 11 Championships at Central Cambria High School.

The indoor percussion team placed 2nd at the regional championships while the Indoor Guard placed 3rd at the TIA Region 11 Championships and placed 14th in Wildwood New Jersey.

The band’s last public performance will occur at graduation on June 1.    

Mr. Hock and the band are already looking forward to the start of the 2016-2017 year with marching band, which will officially begin in August.
