TAHS Guidance Office to Host College Visits
College visits give the students an opportunity to talk to college admissions counselors and help them find a college they like

Deciding where to go to college is one of the biggest choices a high school student will make. Small school, big school, close to home, far away. Do they have my intended major? Can I afford it? These are all critical questions that students need to consider when choosing the right college.
In order to help with this decision, the Tyrone High School Guidance Office has scheduled visits by admissions counselors from many popular local colleges.
“College visits give the students an opportunity to talk to college admissions counselors and help them find a college they like,” said Jerry Peterson from the TAHS Guidance office.
At these meetings, students can learn about each college, its campus, majors, and admissions procedures.
Unfortunately, according to Peterson, not enough Tyrone students take advantage of these opportunities. “Usually only a few students go to these,” said Peterson, “we want more students to go.”
Several colleges have already visited, but there are many more opportunities scheduled for throughout the fall.
Interested students can sign up for any of the college visits listed below by visiting the TAHS Guidance Office.
