Student Council and HOSA to Host Benefit Volleyball Game

Mr. McNitt gets wet at the 2012 Spring Pep Rally

Student Council and HOSA will host a students vs. teachers volleyball game at the May 10th pep rally.

All proceeds rasied from the game will benefit the Tyrone Food Bank.

Two student teams will be chosen by a fundraising competition in lunch.  The teams who raise the most money will earn the right to the challege the teachers.

The male teacher team includes both Coleman brothers, Mr. Shedd, Mr. Zupon, Mr. Funicelli, Mr. Owens, and Mr. Rhoades and will be under the guidance of Mr. Rossman.

The women’s teacher team consists of Mrs. Ellenberger, Mrs. Taylor, Mrs. Lumadue, Mrs. Park, Mrs. Dolney, Mrs. Yaudes, and Mrs. Grazier.

Students will also have a chance to see one of the teachers pied at the end of the assembly.  Students will choose which teachers get a pie in the face by putting money in cans at lunch.  The teacher with the most money in their can will get pied.

“Get as much money as possible in these teachers’ cans! Certainly the Eagle Eye staff aren’t the only ones eager to see teachers get a face-full of pie, right?” said Stephanie Hammond, TAHS senior and Eagle Eye staff writer.

Also, for those eager to dunk some fellow students or teachers, the winning team will get to dunk the losing team in the Pitchburst.

As of now, there are only 4 boys’ teams and a single girls’ team.  See Mrs. Martin for details on how to enter.

Samantha Johnson, Staff Writer
Samantha is a very easy person to get along with. She may seem shy when you meet her. Once you get to know her she isn’t shy at all. She loves to read and listen to music. Her favorite band is One Direction. She loves hanging out with her friends. They have completely random conversations that if you were to walk in during you would have no clue what was going on. Arianna is a reading fanatic. Seriously, she can’t go a day without a book to read. Probably as a side effect of reading, she loves to write as well, and somehow managed to land herself a spot as Editor on this year’s Eagle Eye News. She enjoys watching TV (mostly Supernatural, which is her favorite show), surfing the web, and hunting for more books to read. She also recently started learning to play guitar, although she admits that she has a lot to learn.
