“Its awesome to score that early in the game because it helps get the team pumped,” said D’Angelo.

Later offensive efforts from the Rams resulted in six shots on Tyrone’s goal,  all saved by Tyrone Junior Anthony “The Wall” Politza.

“[Anthony] is an animal, thats all there is to say,” said Tyrone coach Chad Hunter.

“I was just doing my duty as a keeper and protecting the team and net, I wasn’t really thinking about a shutout at the time,” said Politza.

The next Tyrone goal was scored just before the second half in the 32nd minute by Bellwood senior Josh Wilson.  Wilson had just returned from an ankle injury the game before.

The first half concluded with score 2-0 Eagles.

The Rams came out guns blazing in the second half, both on offense and defense.

Penns Valley held the Eagles scoreless on four shots.

But the Eagles overcame that and scored another goal in the 73rd minute from D’Angelo once again, with an assist from Wilson.

The Rams played well but could not come out with a goal.

With the shutout, the Eagles upped their record to 4-3.
