After surprising his girlfriend, Emily Fusco at her first track meet, Andrew Ferguson promposed with a poster and strawberry gummies. He waited until after the meet was over to ask. Surprised that he showed up and promposed in the same day, Emily was ecstatic and said yes! Andrew was helped by his friends and family in order to complete the surprise.

We had a chance to sit down and talk with the couple about their promposal:

Eagle Eye: Who did you ask to go to prom with?

Andrew Ferguson: Emily Fusco

EE: Describe in detail how you asked them.

AF: I knew I was going to ask Em for a few months, but I wasn’t sure how until about a day before I asked. I told her I wasn’t going to meet up with her with the intention of being a nice surprise. After the meet went up to her car and showed her my poster and gave her gardeners strawberry gummies that she likes. Lindsay Fusco, Denise Fusco, April Ferguson, and Kenna Grum all helped me.

EE: Why did you choose this person?

AF: She is my girlfriend/best friend

EE: Where did you get the inspiration to ask?

AF: My mother gave me the idea to do a track theme.

EE: What relationship do you have with the person?

AF: Girlfriend

EE: Give us your side of the story. Why do you think they asked you?

Emily Fusco: He is my boyfriend/best friend

EE: Describe in detail how you were asked and how you felt.

EF: After telling me he wasn’t coming to my track meet, he showed up to surprise me. After the meet, I was ready to go home. He told me he had to go to my parents car and get his stuff. I was a couple minutes behind them. When I arrived at my car, he was standing there holding a poster with strawberry gummies strawberries from Gardeners.

EE: Did you have any suspicions that you were going to be asked by them?

EF: I knew that he was going to ask me, but I had no idea that he was going to do it after my first track meet and on our two month anniversary.

EE: Why should you win this contest?

EF: He put a bunch of thought into it and asked a bunch of people to help out so that he could make me feel special and surprised.
