Bowser scores 3 in win against Lady Bearcats

The Lady Eagles traveled to Huntingdon last night to secure a 5-1 win against the Lady Bearcats.

Bellwood junior Audrey Bowser was the top scorer of the game with three goals.  It was Bowser’s first hat trick of the season.

Bellwood freshman Riley D’Angelo found Bellwood senior Marissa Panasiti seven minutes into the game to connect for the first goal of the night.

Panasiti then returned the favor to D’Angelo who crushed a 25-yard shot over the keeper’s head to put the Lady Eagles up 2-0.

Bowser then connected on a cross from Panasiti at the end of the half, giving the Eagles a 3-0 lead to go into the second half.

Ten minutes from the start of the second half, Bowser found Panasiti who connected with her head to put another goal in for the Eagles.

The Lady Bearcats found some momentum when Kate Griswold connected with Jordan Hawkins to put Huntingdon on the board.

The Lady Eagles were not finished though.

On a corner kick, D’Angelo put a ball into the 6-yard box, and Bowser put a foot on it to put the Lady Eagles up 5-1, and sealed the win.

The Lady Eagles will be back in action at home on Saturday, October 10th against the Lady Raiders at 10:00am at the Harry K. Sickler Athletic Park.
