Grade10

Accomplishment:

Erika broke the meet record at the 65th Annual West Central Coaches Meet last Friday. She jumped 5’7″ breaking the old mark of 5’6.25″ set by Janae Dunchak who was a four-time State Champion in the high jump from Northern Cambria.

Coach Christopher Shedd’s Quote:

“As I’ve said before, Erika’s accomplishments are well-deserved. She is an extremely hard worker in practice and she is a student of the sport. Credit also goes to our volunteer coach Wally Miller who drives 80 miles each way from Somerset (as he did with Charles Wilson-Adams) to assist in coaching Erika as often as he can, and to Erika’s parents for putting up with the pressures of the sometimes distant indoor track meets and outdoor practice schedules I have needed to have Erika attend in order to build her ability to express her natural talent. In the end, it is all Erika. She is a joy to work with, and is a great team member who shows her leadership and puts forth 100% at every opportunity.”
