Athlete of the Week: Alexis Cannistraci

Sport: Volleyball

Grade: 11

Accomplishment: Against Penns Valley, Alexis had 9 kills, 17 digs, and 2 blocks, and against Juniata Valley she had 7 kills, 12 digs, 4 blocks, and 4 aces. Alexis has also, transitioned from another position in the last week since we played Bellwood. This new position forces her to pass and play defense. She has done an excellent job in this transition.

Coach Mike Kraft’s Quote: “Alexis is an extremely passionate, hard-working student-athlete. She is always willing to get better and one of the most “coachable” athletes I have coached. She is a role model for her teammates and holds her teammates accountable for their actions.”
