Ask the Coach with Head Coach Jason Wilson: Week 9 Edition
Each week the Eagle Eye sits down with Coach Wilson to ask him a few questions about the state of the Golden Eagle football squad
Eagle Eye: Did the weather affect the practices at all this week?
Coach Wilson: Yes, we had to move practice to our indoor facility because our practice field was a pond.
EE: Was the team satisfied with the win last week?
CW: No, I don’t think or the coaches were satisfied. We didn’t play very well.
EE: Has leadership improved this past week?
CW: We will see how much our leadership has improved at the game on Friday.
EE: How did practices go this week?
CW: I thought that they went better than week but we will see how well that carries over to the game.
EE: Do you feel that your team has a good chance against Penns Valley this week?
CW: Yes, I feel that we have a good chance against anybody if we play up to our potential and as good as we know how to play.
EE: Is there anything in particular that you are worried about?
CW: I’m concerned about our tackling last week and making sure we improve because they have a big fullback and a really talented multi/all purpose athlete, Ben Alexander.
EE: Do you believe your team still has a chance for a good run in the playoffs?
CW: Absolutely, the key is to make playoffs and once we get there, anything can happen. It is all based on who gets hot at the right time.
Will is a senior this year. He is on the varsity football team and will be interviewing Head Coach Jason Wilson for our weekly "Ask the Coach" series.
