3-4 inches: The line between abortion and murder

All forms of abortion should be made illegal

Life is defined as “the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death.”

So why is it that we consider babies that are still only a little teeny being not alive. This is the defense that pro-choice activist have used. That isn’t a good excuse. Babies in utero can definitely grow, so why aren’t they considered alive?

There is only one form of abortion that’s considered illegal in the USA. That’s partial birth abortion, which was created and first performed by Dr. Martin Haskell.

This type of abortion is when labor is induced in the mother, to help expand the cervix for birth. The doctor then reaches in and grabs the baby by the leg and pulls it out feet first. Then the baby is pulled out until only its head is left inside the mother. Then the child has scissors jammed in the base of its skull and then the scissors are opened to put a hole  in the base of its skull, its brain is extracted, and its skull collapses in.

Did you know that if the baby’s head comes out, which is only a mere 3-4 inches from where it is during the abortion, then it’s a full birth. If the baby is killed after that, then it’s murder. So why is it that there are only 3-4 inches from abortion to murder?

Brenda Pratt Shafer was a nurse for Haskell and this an excerpt from her testimony where she talks about a partial birth abortion:

“The doctor then took a pair of scissors and jammed them into the back of the baby’s head. And the baby jerked out, like a startle reflex, like a baby does if you throw him up a little bit and he jumps. And then the baby was real rigid. The doctor then opened up the scissors to make a hole. He took a high powered suction machine with a catheter and stuck it in that hole and suctioned the baby’s brains out. And the baby went completely limp.”

This type of abortion was banned in 2003 with the Partial-Birth Abortion Act, but there’s still at least 13,000 partial birth abortions done each year. There also is almost no punishment for the doctors who commit this crime. They only receive a fine or possible up to 2 years in prison. These horrible people are committing murder and are getting away with it.

Arizona just last year went to the Supreme Court to have a law against abortion instated, the Supreme Court ruled that it was unconstitutional to women. The murder and pain inflicted on these babies isn’t unconstitutional to them though? There seems to be a double standard here.

The world should know about this horrific epidemic. Everyone deserves a chance and to make that happen we need all forms of abortion to be illegal.
